You need to check this video out!
http://24.40.44.210/vids/balisong.avi

This video is by one of the most highly respected and influential yoyoers arounnd, Sage. And it turns out he is a genious at balisong as well! He said that he's been involved in martial art since he was 4 or something, but he is insane with his knife... The vid is about 35 mb in size, and about 4 minutes in length. In order to play the video, you need to download and instal the DiVX codec ( http://www.divx-digest.net/software/encode/divx_311alpha.exe ) (just read the readme file to learn how to install it... it's easy)... Sage has some really kool manipulations and aerials, i urge you to DL that vid!-

Definitely get that vid, it's sweet. One warning, the song lyrics are pretty explicit so if you care about that, turn the sound off.

I too just tried and got an error.

My "inner puppy" made me do it..

The way I did it was to imput the URL for the vid directly into a dl program like Getright or Gozilla. The site that would host the vid is down.

It's back up at the moment..I'm downloading it now.Unfortunately I know it's going to take me a while...slow comp,slow connection,and a 33.6 modem.

I think they want you to download their media player to play the .avi file on. I would really rather not do that. Anytime you put software on your system you can have problems, even if it's microsofts software.

If someone wants to put a video on here, then it should be compatable with Real, windows or quicktime which is the apple computer video player. Thanks, JohnR7

nah, the DivX is just a codec that allows you to play DVD quality videos on Windows media player. I have a ridiculous firewall here at school and it still went through, i don't think you need to worry about it screwing up your comuter, as it only updates your media player. but i can understand u not wanted to dl anything from a possibly untrusted site.

and remember, most of us already have the biggest virus ever already on our computers...its call MS Windows!

Real, standard "windoze" and quicktime codecs are crap compared to the divx (Mpeg4 V3) codec. Belive me, I used lots of codecs when saving from my mini DV camera to CD's, and now I'm using divx ONLY. If you want the same video with another codec, you will have a 50% quality loss or a 200% (at least) increase in file size. So just get the divx codec, it works with standard media player. Just my opinion, hope it helps.

I got the video playing just fine. The slow motion replay on EVERY MOVE is a little tiring, but entertaining none the less.

I should have known better, now I have a bunch of bullsh*t on my computer that is entangled and can't be removed, all because some A-HOLE can't use already established programs.

I downloaded the Avi File last night, I figured, "I've seen Clay's Avi Files, what the hell is the difference?"

Then I loaded it, nothing happened, so I figured I would try again today.

Then, I went and downloaded that nonsense program to run it, installed that piece of garbage and the sh*t still won't run and now the garbage has its' tentacles in the regular vid players.

Why in the HELL can't people just put the crap out there instead of tying it to a promotional campaign for some new, whiz-bang program?

Don, what operating system do you use? I am sure that the codec works well, at least on NT4 and '98. Are you sure you got the right codec??? The codec I use can also be uninstalled without any problem. If you give me some details, I'll try to help you out. About promoting stuff, this s#it is free, I can't see how someone could make a profit out of it.
I have downloaded the video and it works OK. If anybody wants it in a 14Mb version (almost the same quality), I'll post a link to it. I have re-coded it for fun, to a lower bitrate and mono sound. If the author of the video file feels like I should not post a link to the smaller one, please let me know.

Dude,

I have 98, I'm not Bill Gates, but damn.

If you can, send me the Avi File in e-mail at:

drearic@aol.com

I would appreciate it.

To be sure it will work, what version of Microsoft Media Player do you have? It must be written in the "About". 'Coz if you have the version 7 or better, I'll recompress it using the Microsoft MPEG-4 V2 Codec and it will work for sure!

Ok, it's uploading ... Wait another 30 minutes from the time I post this (the upload speed sucks) and get it from http://www.multimania.com/gmk2000/bali.dat then rename it to .avi. It works for me, I hope it will work for you. BTW, the size is 15.7Mb. Just rightclick on the link and choose "Save as link..."

I have no idea what in the hell this is Man, I'm a User not a Programmer. It's a "dat" and it stays a "dat" and when I try to turn it into something else, you can't type sh*t in the window to save it as an "avi" file, it stays a dat...

The whole thing could have been rectified, again, if they would have just used a standard Avi or Mpg like Clay has on his site.

Must be a sure sign I'm not meant to see it.
