A while back in the now-closed thread on the 2018 BF knife, I posted a joke that we should buy the BF knife from a Russian manufacturer.

Well it seems that I was tempting the fate of the postage gremlins, because USPS express has decided to send a large package of knives I had on order to Russia! Yup, sent from California, addressed to Australia, sent to Russia. I can’t believe it.

The package includes a couple of select orange camel bone 43’s that were among the best produced in that run. :( I feel sick just thinking of it.

Let alone the fact the shipping cost was $175 (gulp).

I am sweating on the outcome of my enquiries, hoping that the package will resurface and get re-sent to me, but the longer it is missing the less good my chances are.

Some years ago I sent a parcel to GB that for some odd reasons went in Germany, but finally and some weeks later reached the right destination. Let's hope yours will do the same.

I had a recent trade here with a fellow member in Tx, I am in Ga. What I sent him went to Ca 1st, then back across to Tx...

Im dying to hear the excuse as to exactly how that happened.....
Sounds like the basis of a new Tom Clancy book. Clear and Present Ineptitude.
Maybe they got the whole Stalingrad ,Leningrad thing confused with the places in Canberra named after former Prime Ministers.
Captain Ramiush to helm,
Engage the Shilent drive.

My ex-wife went out for a pack of cigarettes in March of 1975 and I haven't seen her since. I thought at the time that it was odd that she had a suitcase with her and a postage stamp on her forehead. Phillip Morris knows nothing and the Postal Service denies all knowledge.

I'm sure your package will turn up soon.

Here's hoping that the package gets back on track and finds its way to your doorstep! Keep us " posted " on how this turns out.

And this is 'express'? In a hurry to get it out of the country....I'm not from Russia so why must you rush me? :D

I had a packet from the US first delivered to Britain, then sent to Canada for a week or two, then to US and at last to Finland;) Well these USPS could do with a bit of basic geography lessons it seems...at least Russia is the biggest country in the world and it's sort of in the direction of Australia, so there's start. But if Russia Customs gets it, stand by for a potentially long wait:eek: but it's actually better than them not getting it......

Good news! They turned up.

So good to receive these as they are a bunch of knives I really didn't want to miss out on

The Camillus Navy knife is really special, as is the Camillus double lok back trapper. The orange bone 43's are cool and look quite different in different lights Great knives all.
