Well it's official. I have lost my little red peanut.:( I have looked everywhere for a week now. So now its what brand? what Steel? what handle material? It reminds me of being back in high school and trying to figure out which girl to ask out. Now that I think of it ---it was the one that would not turn me down.:D So here I go looking around and trying to figure what the heck to do. Oh Nuts. If you see a little red peanut on the ground I think it's mine. Let me know. Well better get to work just can't make it without the peanut.

I can't stand it when a knife gets lost, but I've been lucky in that they mostly get lost in my stuff and turn up sooner or later.

Good Luck finding it.

Man, it's a bummer to loose a knife! There's always the thought and wondering if the next guy who finds it will treat it well, or is some idiot is going to break the blades doing something stupid.

You need to call Smoky Mountain knifeworks right now and get a Case yella handle CV peanut. You may as well, the yellow fever is going to get you sooner or later.

Besides, yella handle knives don't get lost as easy!

I'm sorry to hear, that you lost you peanut, but you usually fiend 'em, once you got a replacement.
If you liked your red peanut, why not stick with it and get the read bone in CV.
But on the other hand Jackknife is right, yellow fever is going around, so you might as well not fight it, give in to it and buy a yeller CV peanut. :D

---> the only way out is, that you buy both ;)

Oh man, I feel your pain. A few years ago I lost my Case Peanut, and was I ever distressed. I looked everywhere, and no dice. I gave up and started carryign other patterns, a soddie, a Wenger SI, a trapper, but it just wasn;t the same. Then a very generous forumite (fewpop) sent me my beloved Bone Stag Peanut, and I was on cloud nine. A few months after getting my new Peanut, I found my old one, and was again ecstatic. I then went and broke it, doing something stupid, and was left with my Bone Stag. Well, that knife has gone on to achieve legendary status among my friends, and even among some here. It has, among other things, skinned an alligator. I say get another one, sure, but fear not. Peanuts have a way of finding their way back home.

I am so sorry for your loss.

Since January, I have lost two Case Peanuts, YH, CV blades.
Both times due to tornadoes and what all goes with the aftermath.
Lost one in Jan, and one this April.
Currently using a sentimental backup, exactly like the other two.

[I have been using a Case YH CV Peanut forever]

As shared the Case CV in Red Bone is a nice knife.

I wish Case would offer CV in more choices, granted Yellow is my "pet" still that Red is very nice.

I recently handled a new Blue Bone Peanut, and that is a really neat bone, I can just imagine CV patina with those handles.

I dont think case makes a peanut in amber bone though.
and you're right we definitely need more CV knifes from Case.

No, they don't make 3 complete lines in CV, just 3 lines with several offerings. I wish they would make more of the offerings in bone and not just the composite.

I hope you find it! I only lost one knife---and it was because I was drunk. I still can't figure out what happened to that knife. Good luck and BTW, get that new one.

I don't get it. I have lost a few knives in my lifetime and I can see that I'm not the only one. Where the heck do they go? Has anyone ever found a knife? I know I sure haven't. I think its like the long lost land where all the elephants go to die. Hey Maybe That's Where All The Peanuts Are!!!! In the Elephant Grave Yard!!
