Far out ! Interesting story, Andy ! I like the way the snake leaped out of the toy oven. Angry little bugger, I bet...... ;)
 
Ya see... I love snakes! I think they are awesome creatures at a distance, but venomous or non venomous, I do not want to be surprised by one OR have one loose in my house!!! I would lose my cool as well!
 
I want to come and visit Australia, but I definitely want Andy, Rob, Karen, and all there big Danes, Moabs, guns etc as my personal protection:thumbup:

That is a little frightening, especially since the kids are the ones that found it the first couple times. At least they knew to get out of the house and then get ahold of their mother. Had I been that mom, I think I would have been freaking out the entire time it was loose in the house.
 
Oh hell no... I wouldn't stay in that house until that snake was found!!!!! :eek:

My wife asked me once why I have a real 6' spear. Some friends are with the local FD, and I've seen a costal diamondback rattlesnake chase them for half a mile when they tried to catch it on a trail.
This is why I have a spear!!! ;)
 
I see Eastern Browns out in the bush with some amount of regularity during the warmer months, they make me do the tippy toe dance if up close and playing "gotcha" but other than that they don't bother me much...one in the house... yep....it needs to be confirmed as found and removed before I am going to sleep there again..!!!
 
So - leaving a 13 year old in charge alone with a little sibling is OK there? Here they might just call DHS. Between that and the snake, she could lose her kids over here.
 
Snakes are still better than freaking Spiders !!!!

No no no....1 of those browns in my home! I'd get some snake boots and my 12ga and worry about damage later....ha I can handle rattlesnakes,copperheads,cotton mouths but not the Australian critters(animal planet and discovery channel ruined it for me).
