Oh sure, gettin me droolin.....

I have re-read this thread many...very many... times over. I agree with the measurements people have put out there. More amazing to me is the fact that it seems like you guys can pull this out of memory like it was nothing. Thank goodness you guys are here because there is just no way I could remember all this stuff. In fact, I think I need another drink. But yes, whatever acronym you give them, they are all awesome knives.

Very true!

Except for doublecut and satin MS and LMS (so called "variants"). Those are made of cheap sCRAP metal and must be sent to me for recycling. :barf:

:)

Holy crap!! Out of only 2 owned (well...3 really), do I have one the mighty 'Skunk doesn't have? How can this be??? Well... there IS one with a swedge that I see he's got... :)

The verified factory D/C LMS (top):

BTW, both appear to be full height grinds
.

Regarding LMS...

BTW, both appear to be full height grinds .

Yeah, mine is too. I've noticed in several pics, that many of the LMS don't appear to have a plungeline that goes all the way to the top, almost making it look like it might be saber ground. Hmm...must've been the crack talkin again. I gotta stop that.

BTW, that's one of those sCRAP metal ones I mentioned earlier. Yep....needs disposin. ;)

:D :D

thatmguy,

You looking for these??? :p

Both the MS and LMS are full height flat ground. The grind and plunge of the LMS stops about 1/16" before it hits the spine. At least that is how mine are.

What I like about the old Mean Streets over the newer Meaners is how there is more of a front guard to prevent your hand from slipping. IMHO. :)

They are also smaller in profile. They are actually more closer to the overall size of a AD.

360joules,

Then you should like most of the busse blades because they have a flat surface on the spine ;)

Two key components to finding the knives of my dreams....flat surface on the spine near the tip...and flat butt.

:D :D

Some of my fav's...

Hey how come you MS does not have the talon hole and lanyard hole? That is a piece of junk metal. I think you need to send it to me for proper disposal.

i use this one quite a bit in the kitchen....it has a full convex grind.....
