Oh the humanity! Snapped blade.

I hear ya. Perhaps a visit to one of our talented fixer upperers for a new blade. The knife still looks great apart from the damage which pre existed your purchase.Try to remain positive.Thats coming from a man who was once nicknamed Mr.Negative by work mates.:D:thumbup:
The ladies at work affectionately call me "the grumpopotamus".

Nothing wrong with a nice, new shape to the blade. I personally would like to see one with a little more belly anyhow. Bummer it snapped, though.

I hate it when that happens!
Those things mostly happen to me as I'm saying to myself, "Just a little more.... one more little tweak."
Sorry leghog, it's still a cool knife.

Perhaps Victorinox will replace it with an identical blade for a price that is within reason.

I like what you did with the knife. Staging a GAW was a great solution.

When I put a lot of work into something and it works out poorly at the last minute I am the same way. I don't want to look at it anymore. This way, someone who will enjoy the knife and the mod will have it. Kudos sir!

I will share a "policy" we have at work. If you screw something up, royally or otherwise, you are allowed 1/2 hour to be very angry, make noise, whatever. Then, it never happened.

That knife will not be perfect, but it will be just fine.

Again, kudos.
