First post here on the spyderco forums. I've been reading and
looking since just before christmas. I have a delica I bought
back in '98 and its been a great knife. Since I've gotten on the
spydie kick again I've added two more delicas, a zdp189 and a
wave. I have been looking at all the cool designs I missed over
the years and got really excited over the terzuola collaberation.
I looked on ebay, and there was one listed, put my bid in and
had it right up till 5 seconds to go. I was outbid by $7.50.
DANG IT! Well I keep lookin'. Log on tonight and one of the
sales theads catches my eye. Start looking thru the other threads
there and see terzuola C15. Open it up and read down the replies,
I start to get excited again because it looks like noone whats it,
then right at the bottom GONE. Then I look at the time stamp
and realize this knife has been avalible for nine days. NINE DAYS!
And I just never looked, then it sold 2 hours ago.

OHHHH!

Sorry for the rant just had to get it out. Also I'd like to thankyou
all for the great posts and info. Guess I'll keep lookin' and try
find my elusive "THE ONE".

Welcome, Wyatt! Now you know why I never buy off of evil bay - I hate to loose. ;)
 
My luck has not improved 1 bit. Just found a spyderhawk for sale on
craigslist, called the guy and said I'd like to buy it. He asked how I'd
pay and I said I would send a usps money order and he's like"Oh no
to many of those are fake that are floating around." I told him I didn't
expect him to send it untill he cashed it and he just kept saying oh no I
don't think so. UNBELEIVEABLE! And I thought getting busse knives was
hard.
 
Man, sorry to hear about that, Wyatt. Those 'Hawks' are hard to find. I would have a real problem with someone rejecting a postal money order. He would probably think that a cash payment was counterfeit. :(
 
Well I can understand wanting deals to be as simple as here's your
money, here's your knife, done. But when you advertise on the World
Wide Web and are suprised someone contacts you from out of town,
mabe you don't understand the concept. LOL!
