Oh the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
But since to work I've gotta go
Please don't Snow! Please don't Snow! Please don't Snow!

Since we received our first snowfall yesterday and I've promised to rob the Saudi's of their income - by cycling to work - I cannot say I'm a happy puppy. Oh well, only five more months to Spring :D

NV, I hear you...winter poked it's head in early in Appalachia. We have had snow on and off for last 24 hours. No accumulation tho....ground still too warm. They say maybe an inch of slush on roads in AM. North of us a little got 6 inches of snow today, so, it is close. Haven't even fitted the plow to the truck or winterized the tractor...cheez.
BRRRRRRR

No snow here yet, just some chilly weather. I enjoy this time of year for the weather and scenery, and also because the activity on the jogging and biking paths thins out. By late November-early December, I'm pretty much alone in the mornings.

By the way, your country is my ancestral homeland. I'm disappointed to hear that you let a little snow keep you inside. Time to break out the snowshoes or cross-country skis. Where's that hardy Norse spirit? :p

See it rain, see it rain, see it rain!
What a pain, slip and slide, ankle sprain!
I'd be happy to know
that we'd soon see some snow,
all this rain, it is plain, is a pain!

I am opposite you guys , bring on the cold and rain I say !
Summer is a horrid season here and I give it good riddance !
:D
Cant wait for the fog to start.

What is this word Summer you speak of? We only have two seasons here in Sweden, White Winter & Green Winter :D

The Mid-Atlantic states of the USA went through the driest September in recorded history only to be followed by the wettest October in recorded history with the Washington area receiving 9+" of rain.

The wettest October in recorded history? The Washington area has been all wet for years! :D

I would have no problem with your weather :)
Summer here is a living hell.

Careful, Esav, or I'll have NATAPROBU* down on you. Can you imagine anything worse than a horde of professional bureaucrats after your butt? :D

* National Association of Professional Bureaucrats, founded by James Boren in 1968. He once set out by horseback from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, carrying a replica of the Declaration of Independence to Washington, DC, to see if he could deliver it faster than the U.S. Post Office did. He succeeded. He was funnier than Hell to watch doing his schtick.

Of course he did. Even back then, USPS was delivering about 10,000,000 letters daily in New York alone. He was delivering one.

Snow?, do you mean that white stuff that we see on TV near the end of the year?.

We are expecting a cold winter here, it may even get down to freezing temperature for a few days, but only in the early morning of course.

Trade ya! ;)

I have two seasons up here: Summer and Depression :) (which is why I used to spend so much time in FL - yes, even with the hurricanes.)

When I was stationed in Syracuse, in upstate New York, one of our guys was from Texas, and had never seen snow. He was looking forward to it.

That winter, we had snow like even New York rarely sees. Walking downtown, we took turns breaking the trail on the sidewalks! The snow was up to my waist. Helicopters were dropping supplies to isolated suburbs. The drifts covered the first floor windows of our dorms. Snow covered the entire front door of the second dorm, and they had to tunnel out.

Yes, he got to see that white stuff that we see on TV. I guess it was appropriate, in a twisted sort of way. We were up there studying Russian.

Its going to be 20 deg c (68 F) here today, one of the warmest Octobers on record apparently.

Interestingly enough despite this the weather forcasters are predicting the worst winter in at least 10 years here in the UK.

I dont dislike warm weather in the day, I cant stand it at night though, I cant sleep!

I haven't seen it snow in 10 years now, ofcourse, ever since I came to new zealand.
I kinda miss it,.... but not the freezing cold that comes with it.

It was 24 deg celcius and sunny today here, whatever that is in fahrenheit.

Perfect weather.

We've got it good here. ;)
