I also noticed that Breavis is a fairly new member here and may not have understood dericdesmond's sarcasm. I did when I read the first two posts. I also remember reading Boss Hog's thread about being nice. I think we should talk more about the OP's topic also. That being said, I couldn't agree more with you Breavis....I think it's crazy...and feel for the guy who dumps the cash on it.

I'll rehash the response I usually give when someone says this.

Why feel sorry for the buyer? Do you really think someone is going to get tricked into spending $1200 on a knife? Stop worrying about how other people spend their money. Just because you don't think an item is worth X amount of dollars doesn't mean someone else feels the same. It might be a steal at $1200 to someone else. If it's not worth $1200 to anyone, it won't sell. If a buyer has $1200 to throw at a knife not knowing its "overpriced", they probably have money to burn. Don't feel sorry for them.

I understand completely. I have seen a variation of this thread on every single forum I have ever been a member of. It has been brought up, does get brought up, and will continue to get brought up.

Thanks brother for the flattery! -- yes I'm a Behavioral Therapist for Special Needs children and an Anger Management Service Provider for the Los Angeles County Probabtion Department. I'm just trying to be sensitive to both sides frustrations and trying to remind everyone that some people are new, some people forget, and some people just want to voice their concerns --- since we're not forced to read threads like this -- I tend to believe the OP shouldn't be antagonized for sharing their view. But hey --- Hogs gotta get dirty every once in a while

Hell, I may as well weigh in on this one. Pricing? I see a lot of items here, and on many forums, and everywhere on the planet - that are overpriced. Free market capitalism at its best. Which is immutable in any society - even underground, in communist countries. Takes a bit of experience - and sometimes overpaying - to learn the "worth" of any product. Ya' gotta' have some savvy. Do not know breavis, but have dealt with Eric in the past, and know him to be a straight shooter. Cheers, and have a great week, all.

Especially when he buys the knife, comes here to brag and sees the same knife going for $550.00 or less with sheath. If I'm Busse shopping I either come to the exchange or to Busse.

I know you aren't cool enough to quote Adam, Ders, or Blazer, that is fact. You seem awful butt hurt about all of it from the beginning. The point was to laugh not get all dramatic or short, it has been nicely stated several times in this thread if you need reference. I really didn't mean to strike a chord with you, I have not witnessed you lash out like that. Another post called it your sarcasm, I love sarcasm, but that my friend wasn't it.

I really wanted to laugh, talk about how, why, what's the most payed for X(whatever X is) any one has ever heard of. Simply light hearted things, no arguments implied.

I guess the problem with thinking that this would be a light hearted laugh fest is that these threads almost never end up going that way and people here are almost always dragged under the bus.
