Oh Yea, IT"S FRIDAY.

Less than an hour, and I am out of here. I only have one thought to leave you fine people with: Cottage cheese tastes delicious to a starving man.

Yeah it was almost 80 earlier this week. I remember several years ago about this time it was at 90  Ahhhh, that's the stuff...

I'm goin huntin for the last of the season today. I doubt I'll see anything, but if I do, my .264 will be through it before it knows what hit em. :D

Is that a .264 Win Mag? I'm thinking of that caliber for my TC Encore. I always like the calibers that get good write ups but never seem to get popular. Other cal. seem to get more press. I've read about this one for years.

:D

WooHoo! Friday! Finally! I have already been goofing off, ripping some Tulip Wood and Curly Maple into scale blanks...boy that Tulip Wood is pretty! Gonna work on my house addition this weekend, hang siding, finish the electrical. Then Monday I'm going to Larry Kemp's to do some more forging! WooHoo! :D

It's shaping up to be a great weekend!

Stay Sharp!

Yup, you got it...
I LOVE it...
1. because there is more powder behind the bullet, and the bullet is a little bigger than the rinky dinky .243

2. because it's custom :D

3. because it's kinda a heirloom..passed down from my late grandfather, who was a REALLY big hunter.

Yeah, I like everything about it other than the cost/availibility of bullets. If you reload though, you're good to go. Because of the dearth of bullets though, I'm gonna get a .270 for my next gun. 1 because it's the closest thing I know of to a .264 and they actually make guns in it! :D

Funny thing is, I've had people tell me that I must be lying, there is no such thing as a .264!!! :D   LOL

You won't go wrong getting a 270. :D I had two a Savage and a Winchester model 70. I sold both not that I didn't like the cal., I wanted to get more TC's. I have three Contenders and two Encore's. I live in a shotgun county only for deer so I had no need for the 270. I used to hunt Pennsylvania but the out of state license got too expensive. I used Nosler 150 gr. partitions in my 270 and they drop deer like lightning. The ballistic tips are another excellent choice. I also like the family of cartridages based on the 308 cal.
