I realized it a few days ago, my ZT 0200's blade has teared on a 1 inch long section. It started under the thumb stud and ended on the top of the blade.

It was always a secondary knife next to a fixed blade so no abuse, no prying, no hit to hard objects. It may caused by stress on the steel caused by the the thumb stud...no other idea.

I've never seen anything like that. A defect in the steel perhaps?
They should replace that blade for you.

Well I'd say two things, first being that knife is FUBAR,second as others have said contact Kershaw and I'm sure they'll take care of it.

It can happen on any knife. Probably a defect in the steel or the heat treat itself, and drilling the hole for the thumb stud weakened it enough to tear. Kershaw will take care of you.

If any single company would fix that for you quick smart, it's Kershaw.

But yeah, i don't think i've ever seen the like before.

Looks like a stress crack to me, maybe the stud was just a tad too thick or the drill bit a tad too small.

Rupture? Tear? Looks like a crack to me.

Just work a little miracle glue into the crack and it will be just like new !!

That'll polish right out!

Kershaw will definitely take care of you. I know first hand having dealt with their customer service when a torsion bar broke on my 0350 when I owned one. I asked for 1 and got 5, some screws, a pocket clip and a kershaw torx driver key chain with different bits.

I remember a thread posted a while ago about the same problem...IIRC, it was a ZT 350 or 30X. Kershaw will definitely help you out, their CS is top notch.
