Ohio Classic Knife show preview

Hey Y'all, I'll be at the show Today (friday) for a while. Look for a 6 foot heavy set teenager wearing a beat to death gray hat with "XFL" written across the front. See ya there,
Jeff

Edit: Just got back from the show, was pretty nice. I saw those knives Phillip made, they look even better in person! Absolutely gorgeous. If any of you have the chance to go tomorrow, you will not regret going. MANY MANY amazing knives(old collector knives, production and custom knives), hawks, sheaths, knife making materials, you name it. I didn't have the funds to get any new sharp toys this time, but I did pick up some belts and a Surefire G2. (amazing light BTW) all the table holders were very friendly and helpful. Overall, awesome show.:thumbup:

Well, I just got back from the show! It was great to see so many people who love knives. :D I didn't sell any knives, but I think 3 or 4 people are going to place an order. Some forumites I got to meet are Karl Anderson, Pete Crowl (actually met him a year ago) who won an award (I forget which one), jeffdk06, um, a couple others, but I can't remember now. Fred Rowe was there, but I didn't make it to his table. I'll do that tomorrow.
Nice to meet you all!

Oh, duh! I met Joe Mandt (jdm61). Very friendly guy, and had some nice knives he made.

Phillip, I like the look of many of your knives but the handle's on most of your bigger pieces appear too small to my eye. Do you have small hands?

My hands are about average, I think. I haven't had anyone else mention them (the knife handles) being small; maybe it's an optical illusion. Send me some money, I'll send you a knife, and we'll see how it fits. :D

Thanks, Phillip.......they look even better in the pic that Mr. Hoffman took. My days as a bad photographer are over....I'm going to leave that to the pros. For those of you who haven't met Phillip, he is actually 15 and has been making knives since he was 2!!!:grumpy::p :D I kid, I kid, but he does look like a teenager to the rest of us old farts and he is much beter than me, so I try to hate the boy, but it is not easy!!!:D Phillip and our other forum friends made a VERY good showing at Cambridge. It was a very nice show with relatively large number of suppliers in attendance considering the size of the event. I hope that I am able to go back next year and have more time.
