Been unable to use my left arm/hand since 2000. If your fingers are dextrous enough you can figure out how to open slipjoints one-handed. The only one I have that gives me fits is my Douk-Douk due to the bear trap strength backspring.

The Douk-Douk can be opened one handed with the use of a wall, a table, ..or if it has a lanyard attached, teeth can help. Ahrrr..

RaptureRaptor - good choice, just remember to get some kind of slip sheath if you carry it in your pocket. The upper opening point can hurt

Thanks for the advice! A very generous member on here gave me one a while back to go with a trapper I bought so I shall probably use that one!
