Let's see if there is an appetite for a real nice and sturdy watch here on the forums.

Very nice Orient Star watch. This is originally a Japan only watch and the Orient Start lineup consisted of very high quality watches. This one is called the Somes model because the strap is made by Somes, a top quality leather company that usually makes high end horse riding gear.

I have imported the watch from Japan myself a couple of years and it has been worn, but not much. It has been one of the nicest watches I've owned and I've worn it occasionally. The sapphire crystal is mint and also the display back is unmarked. The bezel shows some hairlines, because of its high polishing small lines will show. To me it adds character to the watch, but you could polish them out if you really want to.

Not only the case is of high quality, it also has a decorated movement that can be seen through the display back.

Details about this watch:

Automatic movement (21 Jewel)
Power Reserve Indicator
40 hours of power reserve
Very accurate, specs say +25s / -15s a day, but it's more like +/1 5s per day
43mm case diameter, 45mm including crown
47mm case length
33mm diameter sapphire crystal
20mm band width
"Domed" sapphire crystal with non-reflective coating
Display back shows decorated movement
Markers and hands have nice green lume

Would like to get USD 250.- for this watch. I bought this for USD 400,- new and this model is no longer made so you don't see it everyday. When I wear it, I get lots of compliments. Please let me know if you want to know more.

Sorry, I've checked the Media Album and it's set to viewable for everyone (Public). So I'm not sure what I can do to fix this.... if you drop me a line, maybe I can e-mail the pictures.

Serge.
