Ohta and Kotoh Friction Folders

I’m curious, on the Ohta’s, does anyone know why some are designated FK5 and some are FK5P?

My question also, but my guess would be "premium" with the extra $ maybe going to the more interestingly figured woods? Liking the plain Ebony though...
