oil finish?

same here, put it on till it won't take any more then sand it with 1500g wet/dry and wipe off the extra. it will leave a great finish.

boiled linseed oil.

boiled linseed oil, Spar varnish, and mineral spirits mixed in equal parts, hand rubbed in at least 5 coats. let it dry for a week then buff with wax.

I've liked truoil for quite a while. It seems like a better drying/hardening oil finish. Seems more durable and less gummy for me, and still has the look and repairability of oil.

Watko's Danish oil now that John Richards has passed on and taken his formula with him.

Equal parts BLO, Lemon oil, and teak oil. Very light sanding in between at least 5 layers, letting each one dry overnight.
