Oil on Axis springs????

"oil axis" in search comes up blank.

Question: Is oil on the part of the omega spring on the stud a good thing or bad?

Shouldn't hurt anything. I usually oil/lube mine. I figure it helps prevent them from rusting, and if they are rubbing around in there it would help prevent wear.
