oil protection

Steve,
I want to hear it from you- some oils are better at rust protection than others. What do you use for carbon steel protection,Steve? Thanks.

I use the same silicone impregnated rub down clothes I use on my guns on mine and have not had any issues with any of them doing this. Typically I'll gun blue my carbon blades also because I like that blue black look on the blade.
