This is the Pass-Around thread for my Busse Combat Grade Fusion Battle Mistress.(CGFBM)
I have taken current images...although I may have to retake them if I get the urge to take her out for a farewell dinner of oak & maple first before seeing her off.
They will be posted soon. The one above is current, but I have taken a fresh set to show complete disclosure on its condition from all necessary angles, and with its Buy Brown sheath that will accompany it, before sending these out.
I am following the BladeForums.com PASS-AROUND FORUM rules, terms, conditions, and warranty for this Busse Discussion Forum passaround, as Morrow and Spark have honed a very good set to follow over the years from their knowledge learned over many successfully completed knife & gear passarounds. This below is, with exception for changes made to information relevant to this pass-around, a blatant
o) copy & paste of the standard thread started by Morrow in the BladeForums.com Pass-Around sub-forum for each pass-around. This way it is succinct, and I won't wind up complicating things trying to re-invent the wheel, so to speak.
Here goes...
The Standard BladeForums.com Pass-Around Forum Rules apply Here:
Special Note: You must be a member for at least 6 months AND be some level of paying membership.
If you lose the knife, or it gets lost going from you to the next person, you'll need to come up with $700 to cover the replacement cost (of both the knife and the sheath). As noted below, shipping insurance to this amount is SOP.
By signing up or by participating in any way with this passaround you agree to meet and abide by all of the following rules, terms and conditions:
You must be an adult over 18 years of age and reside in the U.S.A. to sign up or participate in this passaround.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the passaround knife is used, carried and/or possessed in a safe and lawful manner from the time that it is delivered to you or your address until you mail it to the next participant.
You must agree to and abide by all of the Bladeforums.com passaround rules.
See detailed rules here:
http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/262872-Rules-For-Passarounds
Also read and understand the following:
This comprises the "Shrink Wrap Warranty" for the passaround knife that is described elsewhere in this message. By participating in the passaround you agree and warrant that:
- US Addresses only! No PO Boxes!
- You are 18 or over and considered an adult under your jurisdiction.
- You can legally posses, carry, ship and receive the passaround knife.
- You take full responsibility for this knife and its use while in your possession.
- That you are participating in research and your comments and conversations about the passaround knife are limited to BladeForums.
Keep the passaround up to 1 week and PERSONALLY* send it to the next person by U.S.P.S. Priority Mail, delivery conformation, insured.
This is your responsibility, please do not rely on anyone else to mail it for you. No excuses.
Priority mail with delivery confirmation and $700 of insurance is SOP. You may also choose to ship via UPS or FedEx, as long as the above insurance amount is met.
When you receive the passaround please post in this thread as soon as possible so that we can keep track of it, also note the condition of the knife as it is received. Please report any discrepancies as to the description of the previous participant. In such case, please call or e-mail me, and I will determine if the knife should be sent back Please post when you send it on to the next person.
After the knife passes hands, each person needs to verify all contents were received and their condition.
And, please, post a review , in this thread. (This is more for the Pass-Around forum, but I'd love some reviews and pix too, please!
)

* In addition to the above, I ask that you please consider that the green linen micarta handles will NOT be available for replacement should the handle slabs on this CGFBM become damaged, and that I like them very much. If you want to baton the CGFBM a little, all I request is please DO NOT baton the HANDLE or directly in front of the handle. Baton the other end of the blade, with a chunk of wood or a RUBBER mallet, please. Most folks do this already. Some do not...
* Please DO NOT THROW this knife.
* Good communication is always appreciated.
* Have fun, and let the big HOG eat!
ETA on 5/6/2014: These are the current condition images I took before the passaround got underway. FULL DISCLOSURE on damage: The very tip, about 1/16th" or less was sheared off in a rock vs. INFI strike. Not on purpose. It has been sharpened out, but you may notice that this CGFBM's tip may not as pointy as another's. There are a few dings in the edge, mainly around the the area of the blade with the most wear to the coating above it. Other than that, the images (click on thumbnails) show the rest, mainly wear from use.
