I love Wild Turkey 101 . Dad had scotch and Mom had Turkey, made up my own mind. No Freud jokes.

LOL... My mom was Turkey drinker. My regulars are Jim Beam Black Label and Maker's Mark. Tonight's the Jim Beam ;)

I passed on Woodford, since I already put away a few liters, so I went for a fifth of 8 year old 1792 Ridgemont Reserve barrel select. Not as caramelly sweet as the Woodford, which I think is a bit better, but it's a whole lot better than most.

Sounds good JW. Never tried Ridgemont. Woodford though, now that's some fine drinking

Started this one because people wanted something other than the martini talk. I love Bourbon and only had a few high end ones. Please let me know some of the differences, since I have been drinking Turkey 101 since the late 70s and I still consider myself a kid,(ha). Everyone has there deal. Maybe next week-- Tequila talk-- My favorite.

Not bourbon but a fine choice :) Have you, or anybody, ever tried their Special Reserve or Extra Rare? Been wanting to try them but the liquor stores around here don't have it :(

Oooo, we can do tequila too. Usually have 1800 but my fav so far has been Patron Anejo

Still talking about Crown? That's something I'll have look into!

So far anything I have tried from Crown is cool. Try it in a cola slurpee sometime--pretty cool. There was another great Canadian Whisky I tried a couple of times that was real good to. Ridge--something maybe that was it, have to look. Sorry but booze is all over the place in Dallas--Just have to look.

How are you guys drinking your good quality Bourbon?

I'm tossing it room temperature into a glass, then splashing a touch of cool water in. MMM mmm Good!

I drink bourbon straight, 4 fingers high in a highball glass with a side of water, or, if I am adventurous, a side of coke-a-cola on ice. ---Minus coke-less headache.--From experience-mine-not yours (ha).

I gotta throw in knobb creek. I used to like Maker's Mk (still do), but knobb creek isn't so sweet--I just like it better...

My tastes vary from scotch to bourbon but right now I am drinking Pikesville Rye with Heinekin chasers. If you have never tried rye I highly recommend it. Awaken your taste buds to something different. :p
