OK Fellas, a couple of Drop Points fell into My Lap Today

If these two were to come up on any auction site, do you think that the two would fetch more as a set or individually???

...if you consider a custom 110 S30V in stag is $225...

Ummm...No. I just spent 14 minutes on Buck's POS web site, "building" a CS 110 similar to the BCCI 110 fund raiser -

S30V Satin Finish blade
Nickle bolsters
Fingergrooves
Sambar Stag
Tan leather sheath

That all comes to $237.50...plus shipping...

Just at a WAG, I'd say the drop point should be another $100... ;)

So I'd expect a BCCI drop point fundraiser 110 on the web to go for ~$350...and I don't see any reason why the similarly configured BCCI drop point 112 should be any less... :)

Which means they're out of my price range... :(

BCCI fund raiser production runs from 150 to 200 ...I would guess the same for this pair with the 112 a little less.I know of no other 112 in S30V A few years ago Joe had a run of 100 or so BG42 blades put in customer supplied frames... If the Buck Gods hear our prayers someday a nice 112 like that will be just a phone call away.

And I would say they are worth more as a single....I have not as much intrest in the 110as I do the 112, and as in this case here sets would be more likly to be sold by a BCCI member or there survivor....

you guys are making my tummy do flip flops here.

Well, he most likly got them for less!!! My best wag on top value is $250.00 for the 110 $225.00 for the 112.....There is few for sale BUT $200.00 in cash will buy a lot of knife...Does anyone remember the issue price?? It seems like it should be $150.00 and $125.00 or close to it.....

I believe you are way off...If you'd read this thread, you'd know that a clip point 110 in this configuration is going for $237+ (from Buck CS)...No way the BCCI drop point is going to go for less... ;)

...And I believe I can prove it...in seven days... :D

...???...How so???

Two pair, down from a full house, 112's over 110's. A weak moment and a 112 now lives in Cali. :D 350x4 :eek::eek:

I agree with your assessment Trax. and it doan matter what they cost in the first place. Values go up.

ok, ok, I'll sell one at initial price if someone will sell mea 184 at initial price, or a mint in box version 1 110 at original 1964 price .... See what I mean...

I can't find either of the BCCI newletters which originally listed the 110 or 112 drop points, but I think Bucksway is very close with the $125-$150 sale price. I purchased one of the 110 drop points on the bay about six months ago that Leroy had even further worked over for $227, so I don't think they are going to sell for much in excess of $250 unless a couple of guys really get into an emotional bidding war. Moreover, two NIB stag handled, damascus bladed 110's sold on the bay within the past three weeks for $132.50 and $165, respectively, a price you certainly could not currently get at the custom shop. So, the bottom line is, at least IMHO, custom shop prices really cannot be used as a very good comparison for what similarly configured limited edition production knives will sell for on the secondary market.

Well the two drop points, chippy 112, honey bone 500, & custom shop 111 in ironwood and mirror finish arrived today. It sure is fine to get them in my hands. I've got one more coming from the same fellow as these 5 - Custom shop 110 jigged buffalo and mirror finish 420hc. That collection is getting better every day.
