OK Guys.....I don't know what I got my hands onto....looks to be a Kingdom Armory.

I got this in a recent trade as a "nice knife". Noticed the Kingdom Armory logo on it but never found a corresponding model in my searches. Think this was a custom knife or a "production" type. Prototype? It is (EDITED) .305" thick at the thi9ckest point in the blade and 12" overall with about a 6.5" blade. DSCN3137.jpgDSCN3139.jpgDSCN3141.jpgDSCN3142.jpg

If not for the logo, I would think that this was a Busse Steel Heart I or ASH I on which someone had heavily modified the handle.
If not, then it is clearly a Busse knockoff.

That's my bet. It's a reground Busse ASH. Extensive regrinding would void the Busse lifetime unconditional warranty.... for obvious reasons.

Someone needs to take the grinder away from that guy.... ;)

*IN RED : that's only mostly true. If the failure is caused by the modification, it's not covered. This was explained over on the Busse Forum. Jerry has said that he has never refused to cover a broken Busse knife, ever... for any reason...

to the OP: that definitely looks like a painfully modded Busse Ash I

i've just scanned through every KA knife that i can find. As far as i can tell, they've never made anything even remotely like that. Nothing at ALL with a talon hole, and their handles look very different.

Maybe someone had them do a mod on a Busse?

either way, it's terrible. Send it to me, and i'll dispose of it properly for you

Sure does look like some Tard butchered an ASH. That said I am betting the mods, while cosmetically bad, will have no great effect on the cutting ability or resiliance.

If you can get past name-calling, you could ask the guy whose mark is on the knife. Although, starting off, "Hey, tard . . ." might not get you much information.

Ed: Now that I notice that one of his models is the "H.O.G.," I suspect no rational communication is possible.

What you have is one of these

ASH-1LE012522.jpg

that has been introduced against it's will to one of these.

And is now the knife equivalent of this

Why does it have a KA logo on it if it's an ASH? The "Grinding" on it is perfect if it was ground. It is completely smooth with a razor edge. Are you saying this is a counterfeit??????

I've owned Busse, Strider, and other high end knives and can tell when one is well made.....this is well made and constructed.

What people have told you, repeatedly and clearly, is that what you have appears to be an original Busse knife that has been modified (and re-branded as such).

Should be a great knife. Enjoy it.

Ok, I didn't know one company was allowed to erase anothers markings and just throw their logo on it the other guys knife.....seemed strange to me.

Some knifemakers have regrind logo they use after they have reground a blade but those knifemakers usually do a much better job.
