Ok, how many goats were sacrificed?

I am honestly considering calling PETA, because I am sure many goats were hurt in the making of the OD-1.

So, I just got home from Walmart and purchasing my new OD-1 (not the one I ordered Sept '08, another one). Seriously, how did you do it? How did you make this badass and sell it for less that $40?! It is nuts I tell you, NUTS!

Everything is just so spot on, I am really floored. I have my fair share of Kershaws (all of which are great), but this OD-1 is really amazing. In fact, I am giving the 2nd OD-1 to my father.

It was worth the wait ;)

BoxANT, it is nice to see that all the delays haven't dampened your enthusiasm. I don't think there was any one wanting this one as bad as you.

I'd have to concur with your Kersh...awe. :D

Mine will be here this week courtesy if PG and I can't wait. It's like the non-ao leek everybody wanted, with g10, frame lock, and a sweet price tag.

There is really no reason not to buy one.

So, how soon can we expect to see different color G10 (pink! for the ladies), or a combination blade (ZDP!).

The people demand it!

Online stores have them... for around $50.

I know my walmarts have them in, I live in Oregon after all. I just don't live that "near" to one, and we don't go there for shopping.

I am going to (somehow) accidentally purchase one, we are broke, when I can. Unfortunately (or fortunately for marital happiness) they did not have any yet at my local big box store.

Today is the 23rd, all walmarts, in theory, should have them in stock. :D

I have gone to 5 Wal-Marts looking for these. 2 on the 23rd.

No luck.

I thought the date was the 28th?

Whatever it is, I am getting a little impatient....
(But only because of walmart...)

I got mine from PG. All I can say is get one. There isn't one thing I don't like.

Glad you like it ABA. Pretty sweet isn't it. There's only one problem,

now I don't have one :(.

Guess I'll have to make another visit to Walmart :( and pick up another one. :D

It's just a perfect little knife. The integral flipper acts as a gear, you don't have to preload the flipper, pulling it a quarter of an inch is all it takes. Just pull it and snaps into place. The frame lock is tough but as easy to release as my Blur's liner lock. I can't give this knife as much praise as it deserves. It's the perfect blend between gentlemens folder and a leek. And it has some sweet g10 too to boot, you can't go wrong with this knife. It should be in any kershaw lovers pocket. :D

I also picked up an OD-1 at wally World on a gift card. Very nice knife (see my review), and I'm now waiting for the higher-end version. Composite blade with a carbon fiber handle would be awesome :-)

Three WalMarts between work and home and not a single one has the new display yet. They've all got the knives behind the counter, but can't/won't sell them until the new display is in. Grrrr. :grumpy:

my wal mart has had them since before valentines day. i love my od its my second favorite of my 6 knives/multi tools.

Don't forget the lock stabilizer. It's easy to miss with the pocket clip on. Just TRY to overbend the lockbar. Ain't gonna happen.
