Several things about that....
If you hollow grind, this is more likely to be true than if you flat grind.
If you use a Moen jig and rotary platen or similar, you can nearly pull it off with a flat grind.
In order to get to mirror off the grinder, you've absolutely got to have the right equipment. You won't get there unless you set up your process properly.

Definitely need to right equipment and also need the ability. It’s more saying that it’s possible and can certainly get quality finishes straight off a grinder without having to hand sand everything to get a decent finish
