Which should I bring for stripping to the VFC... what do ya charge??? LOL Seriously, NICE lookin'
J

jaxx..... when you come this weekend, bring whatever blade you want worked on (but hide it in a bag or something) and i will do it......

by the way folks anyone in the philly area feel free to drop by the valley tin works booth at the historic home show at the valley forge convention center this weekend

Has anyone ever tried to order a CGFBM or any other Busse without the coating ?
It would save some guys alot of work who would prefer a naked blade, and give everyone one more variation to choose from.

I wanted to, but they shipped it to me before I could call in and ask for no coating.:(

I've been working my guts out trying to clean up a naked mole jack. LOTS of lil CNC machining on this one. ;)

if you know anyone that does granite work ask them to slide you a few of thier polishing disk in a variety of grits.... i think they will save you some sweat

Hmmmm... I used to know someone back in TN, not here in MO.

Suggestions of where to pick this kind of thing up in a mid-size metropolitan area? The INFI is MUCH harder to wear down than the SR101 I've stripped before. ;)

i would just call a granite installation guy and ask if you can buy a few.....???? i have them for my artwork..... for doing stone sculpting.....

Let me do some looking. This is taking longer than I expected. Funny thing: spending the time doing this makes me more fond of the knife.

i understand.... my fave knives are ones that i have actually worked on....

Ditto! Reminds me of something I read in "Dogs of War" years ago. Something about one of the characters honing his blades alot kept him familiar and comfortable with them, like an extension of himself. Or something like that, It has stuck with me a long time. Can't leave those blades alone. Anyhow, knice work VTW, as usual.

Nice job VTW
My NO-E had also dimples all over the blade.
I finally gave up and removed the scales to have the handle section cleaned on a grinding machine
