OK it is that time again so I need a number between 1 and the total number of members.

The first number after Midnight (Eastern) which matches a qualified member gets the REKAT Carnivour!

How about waiting until Midnight

Happens everytime.. I think it is funny.

No clock test necessary. Here is a JAVA clock. The top time is UTC (Universial Time) and the bottom time is our servers time.

USE THE TIME ON THE BOTTOM

Ooooo...Mike. The java clock provides the local computer's clock upon which it is currently running. I don't think that my local computer has the same time as your server's clock...I'm central time.

Now that I've figured out how to get your server's clock, I have one question: what's my member number?

Jeff Jenness

hehe Funny Jeff.

If the clock shows the time in your zone and does not show the correct time of your post let me know.

I'm serious Mike, the java clock shows MY system clock. The UTC is in sync with your server's clock (at least in minutes and seconds) but the lower clock is in sync with mine and reads exactly one hour earlier than eastern time (I'm central time) and is off about 45 seconds from UTC time. The bottom line on the java clock reads the local system clock on initializing using the local JVM in the browser. Do you know my number?

Jeff

Now that that is settled, how can I find my user number...I can't find it in my profile or in any of the posting source HTML. Does everybody know his member number or is everybody guessing? Just trying to up my chances, as would any desperate person. :-)

Jeff,

The numbers ae chosen at random. Your number changes each time we do this. I now use a different method than a few months ago do to the number of members. We used to cut up the members names and my daughter would write a number on the back up to the number of members. Then she would draw from a hat.

Toooooooo many members now

Thanks...I guess with so many members that the probablity would be almost 0 to guess my own number or for that matter anybody else guessing a number for me. Oh, well. I will let somebody else draw from the hat and hope and pray. In any case, I know why you have so many members...BladeForums is a great place. Thanks Mike.

Jeff
