Who are you, and what have you done with the knife knut who owns this account? :p

Lol, point well taken. Let me not discourage anyone here from buying more knives now! :D

In all seriousness though, I just think it is a shame to buy a knife and not use it. I mean, I can understand if you want to buy customs for display (even though I would use a custom) but a production knife? Just use the thing! ;)

Good point about a production knife. Maybe I have an inflated impression of the knive's value. Maybe this is like being too careful with a common-date circulated Franklin half dollar.

I agree with DeadMan here. I took the "safety" off my Rainbow Leek soon after I got it in April of last year. Funny thing, just today was the first time it tried to open as I was unclipping it from my pocket. Never had that problem, and it is a DAILY carry knife. I use it at home and weekends at all times that I am wearing pants.
At work I normally throw it in my toolbox and get my Severtech for the workday. It bounces against lots of hard things in my toolbox and is in my pocket with all my keys. The finish must be very hard because you can't tell it from new except for the scratched clip which is not coated.
Two folks I know, one a cop, one a mechanic, bought Rainbow Leeks based on my experience. I have Spydies, Benchmade,SAK, several dress customs which are not EDCs , and I always end up putting on the Kershaw.
- It is the sharpest "out of the box" knife I think I ever bought.
- The size is perfect combo of compact and useful blade length.
- It is quite a striking looker. Wait till you get one and your pals see it.
- That one handed thing will spoil you rotten
I summary, get one!
