Ok. I Think There Needs To Be an Intervention.

I wish I had the same problem. Trying to stop myself from getting a knife. I do what ever I can to get MORE :D

Well y'all got wondering about this de-ramp and choil debate, I just couldn't bring my self to grind on BK-12 yet so last night I grabbed the BK-7 and went to town!

Got her almost perfect. Just a little more sanding by hand with some higher grits and she will be perfect. Then Gonna add some jimping.

I did a little on the choil but didn't have enough time last night. Hopefully this weekend I can get more done.

So any advice on choiling? The grinding process took a long time since I did not want to heat the blade up. Basically made a pass then wet with water. Over and over again.

The choil part is very thin so it will heat up a lot faster than the ramp part. What is the best way to remove the metal without heating up the blade to much?

Maybe submerge in a container of water and grind it?

Oh, and the blue stuff on my blade is tool makers dye if any of you were wondering.
