I fell in love with Scott Gossman's Massive Tusker (no off-color comments, please, you sickos :D) and ordered one. Awesome looking blade, which can be seen in this thread:

He's got a year wait. Gives me time to scrimp and save. I intend it to be my "Flagship" big blade for life, and to hand down for generations.

I've been drooling over that one. Please kiss and tell. I really think I'll have to buy one.

LOL, guys. I WISH he could do delivery yesterday! I'm going to have a difficult time this year waiting!

Definitely one big, bad blade! I liked it too when I saw the original post. Trees will tremble in fear when they see that in your hand :D

Scott is my favourite knife maker out there, I have always drooled over every knife he has made.
I live in hope that one day I may have the cash to splash but till then I will content myself by looking at other peoples....great choice bro !!!

Thanks, Pit!

I've noticed Scott's designs for a while, and I like them a lot.

That looks like a really functional, really beautiful piece. Good choice.

I look forward to hearing your user experience with that one, when it finally comes.

Brian,

I don't know if it will help you or hurt you but you can use my Gossman Tusker Max. Mine is 3/16" thick with an 8" blade and 13" overall. It chops like crazy and it is my favorite big knife. I really love the feel of the desert ironwood handle and on the MLK weekend trip, it did everything I needed to in building a primitive shelter.

I'll have it at the April Rendezvous for you to try.

Scott just told me via PM that when we get together for some camping, he'll have sharp toys for me to play with so I can get a fix until my knife is ready! :D

Thanks for the compliments guys. All these trips are killing me. I wish I could make them all but I've got so much work. I've got 24 PSK knives to work on in the next week.
Scott
