Though its a Becker and pretty much speaks wonders for itself...i just bought my bk2 a few weeks ago and really have a hard time with their sheaths...I was going to get a bk7 right up till the cashier rang it up and then decided on the bk2 purely out of it being a substantially better sheath. Still, finding a way to wear it acout style horizontally with the stock sheath is proving tough..anyone have ideas?

Check this thread out. JWL (post #4) may have a solution for you by using a large tek-lok.

Speaking from the standpoint of someone who has a BK-16 (the little brother of the BK-2) rigged for horizontal carry currently, I have to say that the BK-2 might be a little big to do so with (see the DerekH drop leg here http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/867410-Becker-Modifications-and-Inspirations-Thread-NO-CHATTING!. That being said, a little nylon webbing thru the strap-slots should work wonders, though, a Teklok might provide better balance.

I just ordered a BK2!!!! I love knives, having several cost efficient folders and a few small fixed blades, but I have never been a knife aficionado per se. I have never owned a so-called "high end" knife. In recent months I have developed an interest in bushcraft knives, however, most are what I would call high end. I camp a lot in the spring and summer and wanted a good camp knife but didn't want to shell out a ton of cash for one (maybe I'm just a cheap bastard.) I wanted a thick blade but I didn't want a gargantuan survival type (Rambo) knife either. While cool as hell, the survival types just aren't practical for me. In researching different bushcraft type knives I stumbled upon the Becker knives and found the BK2 (this knife just screams efficiency and high end!! And I got it on sale, haha, love it.) Search over, found what I need!

It hasn't even arrived but I'm totally obsessed with it! I am concerned about the sheath though and a mod might be in order here. We will see.
