OK married men -- time for the truth.

Ok, how many of you have seen the Playstation commercial where the wife catches her husband sitting infront of the TV hiding in the basement doing nothing but playing his game??? "You're a sick man Ray," rings through my house! I love my wife dearly, but she gives me more crap about my knife addiction now that I have found the forums.

My wife does show great interest in the knives I collect, however she does not hesitate to tell me which ones she doesn't like. Oh well. All in all my wife has been very supportive of my 'habit' including buying me a few very nice ones, I have no copmlaints.

My wife is great! She surprised me the other day and said she would go to a knife show in Tacoma with me. Up to this point she has always given me that "look" whenever I mention knives. Lo and behold she walks out of the show with a Dan Kendrick D-2 utility w/burl maple handle,file work & a superb sheath. I walk out with nada. On the way home I had to keep the light on in the van because she kept playing with it and I didn't want her to get cut. A couple of days later I accidently find out she got me a small Sebenza for Christmas! Is that cool or what?

Cool, doesn't cover it, she's hooked.

I've tried to get my wife to a couple of shows, didn't work. This last show, (NYCKS) I tried a little reverse phycology. and didn't invite her, that almost worked. Next time I got her, and once there she'll be hooked. At least that's the plan. It worked for you, right?
 
I think I am fortunate that my wife likes knives. She might not be as crazy about them as I am, but she has an interest. For hwe birthday (October), I got her one of those nice SpeedTech Synergys IPO knives, and she loved it. She is more into the sword / fantasy / movie knifes while I'm leaning more to a using knife.
One of the best things about her being interested in knives is that I don't have too hard of a time explaining where the money went

I can simply say I bought this or that knife, especially if I throw in a nice fantasy knife now and then.
