We've seen some spectacular cutlery in the recent show and tell threads. I've really enjoyed seeing it. Perhaps some of you have some nice old jacks that you'd like to show. Below are some of mine. Sorry about the sleeveboard on the right. It isn't a jack and I didn't notice it until after I photographed the group. Left to right are a NYK Hammer, a couple of Robesons and the Cattaraugus sleeveboard. Anybody else?

Your knives are in nice condition, KO! I won't be able to send pics till next week. Keep this thread alive guys!!

Great classics there KO! We were thinking along the same line. I was thinking that jacks would be great for the next show and tell. I'm looking forward to seeing what shows up.

Guess teadrop/swell end jacks are included? I'll have to scan the few I own in over the next day or so.

Thanks. Condition is more important to me than rarity. I'm one of those folks that doesn't care what other people think is important in my collection. They should care about what is important in their collection. I collect what I like and I like knives in pristine condition or as close to it as I can get.

You bet. Any jack will do. I'm looking forward to seeing them too.

Thanks Knifeoutlet, I love old jacks-especially ones in good condition!! Great thread!!

Kinda hate putting my bad scan in with all of the nice photos here, not to mention the knives themselves.

This has the older New York Knife Co. stamp. I've always wanted one with that nice NYC bone.

Here are a few of my old two blade jacks. On the Left starting at the top are a Buhl Sons Co.(by New York Knife Co.), an Ulster Dwight Devine & Sons that I have been using as an EDC, a Pal easy open, and a John Primble(by Schrade). On the right are a Keen Kutter, a W.M. Enders(by New York Knife Co.?), a Clauss(obviously by Case), and a Case Tested that I picked up at the flea market last weekend.

I haven't gotten around to scanning mine, but Last Confederate just showed one of them, except mine is a 1982 Case 6231 1/2. It looks just like LCs. That particular knife walks, talks, and SNAPS, like it means it.

Okay, I took a moment and scanned in two knives. The top is the 1979 Case A6235 1/2 I got from Waynorth. The scan doesn't do it justice. The blades are mirror bright. Dust on picked up by the oil and reflections mar the scan.

The lower Queen is my routine EDC. Being a single and having the delrin scales it is slim and light to carry, but like both Cases mentioned above, it has a clean walk and talk, takes a great edge and is a pleasure to pull out and use. It is quality materials and workmanship in an everday, all day package. Yeah, I've gotten quite fond of it in a very short time. Actually all it took was to sharpen it and slip it into my pocket. I was gone on it from there. And that little crack doesn't bother me at all. Just for the record, I didn't care much for that handle pattern/material until I got my hands on this one. (Also compliments of that Canadian Yankee.;)) I'll have to retract that. I like em fine now and wouldn't mind a few more like that.

This is the back side of that Appy Case. I think it looks just fine on either side.

Great knives as usual folks. I like seeing both the fancies and the working jacks. There's something comforting in a workaday companion kind of knife. Kinda like your favorite hat, good boots, and your best dog buddy. It just feels good.

I'm a fan of the Case 6292 pattern, can you tell? Nothing particularly collectible or special about these, and they've all seen use, either by me or someone else. From left to right the years are 1974, 1982, 1985, 1987, 1989, and 1998.

Not the greatest picture, but the best I could do with my cheapie camera.

Well I recently sold off all of my vintage Robeson Jacks :( And all I have in the Jack knife arena are modern models..So if it is not breaking protocals I will add my Schatt & Morgan English Jack & Deluxe English Jack. Though I have to say that the English Deluxe sure looks like a trapper more than a Jack knife like it is classified.

Here's a couple of old Jacks:

Here's another one, which is Case 1940 - 64 "32" pattern Texas Jack. Despite it's apparent condition, both blades still have a bear trap snap. It must be true that they don't make em like they used to.
