As I have posted in some other threads, I've been kind of floundering in the vast selections of traditional knives. I received my 3rd traditional today, and I think I am solidly hooked and have found my direction.
My first one was a Charlow - so very glad I happened to be around for this one - it is a keeper for sure because of its uniqueness especially with the gun stock walnut. Next arrival was a Titioute #21 toothpick in bocote. Ok - this is even better - the toothpick design really talks to me. I found it a bit hard to open with my weak hands and fingers (RA), but after a little oil and working it I can use it.
So, to take the toothpick obsession a step farther, after hours of research, I pulled the trigger on a Schatt & Morgan large toothpick (5.5" closed) in morning ash worm groove bone. Oh man.....how I love this knife! Easy enough for me to open, the handle length is just perfect as I can wrap all 5 fingers around it (also important with my RA), and the beautiful thin blade - all adds up to the perfect knife for me so far. Now I am on the hunt for other >5" toothpick knives to see what variations I can find.
First time I had the gumption to take a photo of one of my new knives - that says something right there. This is my first time posting pics on this forum, so if there are too large or something please let me know.
