I must admit, I had one early on and could never really "love" it. I had sort of written off the Spanto as a blade shape for me. I sold my first one and moved on to Slicer blades. Well recently I came across a decent deal on a sandblasted Ti XM-18 3.5 with a Spanto. I thought, "maybe I will give it another shot." Needless to say, I'm glad I did. I'm sure in large part this is due to my sharpening skills improving since my last Spanto. They are a design that, when really sharp, seem awesome. My first one wasn't all that sharp, and no doubt that contributed to my not falling in love with it. I got my new one in today and spent about 5 minute on a diamond flat stone. Got it POPPIN' sharp. I can now really see the affinity for this design. Glad I gave the Spanto another go!
