Ok, so I have some new knife money..... DDR Gun Hammer or Zero Tolerance 0300?

I love the look of the little flipper tab on those gunhammers. Are those things expensive? I really need to look into that knife. Thanks for the reminder. :p

Btw, to those of you that have Gun Hammers, what is the actual length? I've seen them listed as 7.5", 7.75", and 8". I'm hoping they're actually 8".

They're about $250 - $300. Meyerco makes their version of the Gun Hammer, the Maxx Q. I have one, and it's nice, but you get what you pay for (they're around $45). I will say this though, my Maxx Q fires open faster than my Benchmades or Kershaws.

Well that was quick... based on the very limited digging I did I'd go with the ZT.

Too many issues with the DDR. Sticking locks, gnarly vertical blade play, dull blades, late lockup, finishing issues, blade too long for the grip on certain models which can cut you (if you sharpen it)...

Even if they fixed most of that I'd still want the ZT.

I could be wrong though. As I pointed out, my research took all of 10 minutes, but that many issues found in such limited searching = no go for me. The past problems are enough to (probably) mar the resale/trade value which is important to me.

Just a FYI on this:

This was an isolated issue from earlier last year. There was a big issue with the QC team letting knives go that should have never made it out. The entire QC team was fired and HTM/DDR has been doing damage control ever since.

They have also moved their entire operation to Texas in the last 6 months. It is my understanding that all of the new knives are up to snuff and anyone getting lemons still in the pipeline have been getting them replaced ASAP.

I would go with the manual Maxx Glide version if I were you. That's what I went for with the special green/s90v GH goup buy.
