I said that I was planning on focusing more on the urban type survival gear and reviews this year.

No matter how hard I try, I just can't get into it. I keep getting mired in the wilderness.

My mind just longs for the stimulation that only the wilderness can give.

Any chance I get I find myself heading off to the forest instead of the burbs.

Sorry guys, your going to have to depend on Mistwalker for your urban fix.:D

This country boy can't get the woods out of his head.

Urban survival to me consists of a bar that has Corona

Urban is kinda to easy...yes you have to plan things out and think ahead but your shelter is built , food is canned and you just hafta barter or steal these items.

Hey, I know how you feel. Bush time at least has the appeal of getting away from people. Its just too hard to do that in an urban setting.

If you want to get away from people in an urban setting just walk into a bar with your face neck and arms smeared with fake blood! You'll have plenty of bar space... well for a few minutes anyhow.

Urban survival is the time it takes to acquire scavenged items from people's garbage cans and on the streets before I make the 3 block dash to the trailhead.

lol Mr S, well it all depends on what you are going to use more IMO, for me it would be urban survival. i say practice whatever you will use most. :D

IMO urban survival is more about social and group dynamics than it is actual survival. The thing that's most likely to kill you in a city is other people.

And by the way, McMenamins Terminator stout is the king of beers. I'm in the pub sipping one as I write this.

Yep, now leave all your money at home except for $30.00, pic one...yes just one and at least yours will be a RAT/ESEE... knife, get dropped off in the center of the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex with only that and the clothes on your back, and survive for three and a half years straight until you become an adult without getting caught by the authorities or killed by gangs that you just can't help but mock for their cowardice and stupidity (hey I was 15, *shrugs*), stealing and bartering for your food and finding your built shelter. then come tell me how easy it is :D
