ok then...bonus time! need help deciding...

is it a pain in the ass to open right handed?

Either you or I is misunderstanding somewhere.

No it is not a pain in the ass to open my righty Inkosi with my right hand. I just wear my righty inkosi in my left pocket as I do all my righty knives. As the inkosi has dual thumbstuds it is no problem to open with either hand.

Using righty knives in the left pocket just means I uave to reach into my pocket differently to wothdraw the knife in a way condusive to quick opening. Basically if you let your left hand reach into your left pocket fingers first palm forward with the thumb pinching the clip on the outside then this is how I withdraw my righty knives and use them left handed.

The Sebenzas righty models only have righty thumb studs so they are annoying to use in this manner.

The large is much easier to open off hand then the small.

Maybe it is that I haven't broken in my Large 21 righty and have my small but....

I find it very easy to open my righty small 21 in my left hand by using my middle finger to pop the blade open and then thumbing it the rest of the way.

we're talking Inkosis here, not 21s...

This I think just kicked my 21 out of the pocket...so smooth out of the box!

Congradulations!! I know you are going to love it. Did you end up getting the small or the large. I can't tell from the picture.
Do you buy most your knives lefty? How do you deal with most knives which are default righty. Do you switch the side the clip is on? I can easily wear a righty knife set up with a righty clip in my left pocket as long as it is tip up. Tip down knives you cannot do this as easily.

Amoo if we are talking Inkosis why would one of the large or small be easier to open off handed than the other. They both have dual thumb studs so theoretically should be just as easy to open with either hand. Unless you are including things like the relief cut in the scales which give access to the thumb stud, or the position of your hand pushing on the lockbar.

I got the large. I prefer left handed knives as im a lefty. As for default righty knives, i switch the clip to left hand carry. Some manufacturers, such as boker (i really want a kwaiken) but boker really isnt lefty friendly so that is a deal breaker for me...

Congrats

The journey down the rabbit hole begins. ;)

Congrats Rabbivj, you're an official member of the dark side. Now if I can just get you onto the grease :P

Lapedog - A simple matter of there's more room to get your thumb in to open it lefty. I have medium hands, I have 2 smalls sitting right next to me, can not open either of them 1 handed lefty. I spend a ton of time opening my large left handed with ease.
