I got the same thing. I figured that my time is worth more than $8 so I let it go. Thanks to Spark and Charlie for all you’ve done!

If you go to the emailed receipt, you should find Spark's email address in there. Copy it, hit the 'Forward' arrow, paste the address there, then put the appropriate message in the subject line.

That could delay shipment of the knives for days, possibly, a week or more. If people want to make an effort to get a particular serial number, they could set up a swap thread in the Trading part of the exchange.

Agreed. It would be more work, more headaches, and a possible source of people complaining when they didn’t get their special number. Send em out and we get what we get.

I agree wholeheartedly with Ed, Modoc ED , and with calm and DustinK . Just send the knives out and people who care about the number can switch around after they receive them. Seems unreasonable to expect Spark to waste time on something so trivial. It will also delay delivery for everyone. I suspect only a small minority care which number they receive.

Why would it have taken longer? We get the knives and can check that thread to see if anyone could trade or help out finding a number, it’s for after we‘ve received them.

Also, it’s no longer locked, presumably because these are being sent out.

I viewed it as Kevin matching up numbers of the knives to requested numbers by members. You're right. That thread is unlocked now. Anyway, I hope Kevin sticks with his mentioned Sunday as the day he starts packaging/shipping.
