OK, What Are the REAL Prices on Customs?

We have corrected the prices on the Buck Custom Knife Shop. I think everyone will find the corrected prices are more inline with our other products and more consistent with the reliable value that Buck represents.

As a gesture of apology for the confusion, I would like to extend a 15% discount to all BladeForums members for any Buck Custom Knife Shop purchased until 12:00pm on June 2nd. Simply order online and then contact our customer service rep, Pete Mason – pmason@buckknives.com – 1.800.735.2825 x180 and let him know your BladeForums username (handle) and he will apply the discount. If you have already ordered a knife from the new Buck Custom Knife Shop, please let us know and we will honor this new discount.

Best Regards,

David Visnack
VP of Marketing
Buck Knives Inc.

Thank you David!!

WD40 and Kerosene will help get the tar and feathers off :o:o

...If any of you have already ordered...the 15% discount will be deducted after the knives are ready to ship...This is per Pete Mason at Buck...Yes...They did already hit my credit card for the funds...Now let's see how many orders we can get in there guys...:p:thumbup:

Even though Goose beat me to it, I just ordered a damascus steel, ran horn 110 with nickel silver bolsters. This is my first damascus. I'm curious to see how the steel holds up.

...Let me know as well Mike and gooser. I ordered S30V, on the same knife, as I'm familiar with it's properties and performance and Damascas jus' kina scares me a bit as far as actual use material...Lord knows it's pretty though...but "pretty" don't cut...LOL...:)

I've been carrying a damascus 110 and using it well for about the last year. No issues at all, has worked great and taken little sharpening.

Hasn't been used hard or abused.

Am looking forward to the custom ram, s30v, w/brass bolsters I just ordered though. The damascus may have to go back in the draw for a bit, not sure till I see the new one though.

Goose,
You bastid you! :eek::jerkit::D
Yep, Five-0, that be me :)
Hurt me cash wise as I just bought three other knives before the CS pricing changed...but I thought it was the right thing to do after all my bitchin'. I'll be eating those Mickey D' $1 Double Cheeseburgers for two weeks.

I liked it better when Buck took the money out when the knife shipped :) Poor Buck...can't die right. ;)

Mike, did you get pins or not? I didn't and Doc D., did.

With Darryl, Ohen C., you, and I ordering ram, I guess we all have a fever and the only prescription is more ram horn!!!
BTW, that is a take off from a SNL skit with Christopher Walken that cracked me up..."I want more cow bell!!!": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVbAuMr5eac

Goose,
Nah....I don't really care for the pins. I don't like finger grooves either except on wood scales. They end up too close together to be functional. I ordered damascus steel, ram horn scales and nickel silver bolsters.

Your order is my order as well.
Although I am wondering if I should contact Pete ASAP and tell him to pin it.
Saw elsewhere that Scoot is getting a rambo too.

Decaf, only my gut resembles the cow bell dude LOL.

Just to remind you guys, Richard Matheny says the Custom Shop knives are *collector knives*...Not users... ;)

They're made to show...Not be stuck in a deer gizzard; or used to cut slivers out of your wife's butt... :D

They should be put in a glass fronted case, and taken to knife shows three times a year, and displayed... :)

So don't let us collectors hear about you carrying them in your pockets and whittling corks with them...

:mad:Ok Trax:mad:

If Richard B agrees with Richard M....:(...then I'll have to take the FG KOA BG42 off my belt and serve it under glass:o. I was looking forward to hacking out a few sets of lungs with it during Deer season this year;).

I collect them on my belt!! I guess I'm in trouble then because I've been using each and every custom 110 I ever bought, and the new damascus ram horn version will be no exception. I don't intend to sell them. I'll be handing them out to the grandkids when I'm no longer capable of using them and am left to wiping the drool off my chin.

Thanks BUCK

If all goes well with the good offering from Buck I have opted for two 110, S30V, Ram Horn, Nickel Bolsters, Rivets, Tan Leather Sheath? One for my Dad and one for my dog.

Hey Five-0 Mike...

Wrote to the Custom Shop and asked them to ADD Pins. We'll have to compare.

FWIW, to all that saw the 02 JUNE planned ship date, my reply to the pin request indicated that it will ship in 4-5 weeks. Just setting your expectation.

What I have been able to find out is that the computer is treating these custom shop orders like regular web site orders by giving them a rather quick ship date. We need to get that fixed of course.
Meanwhile we are taking steps to ensure that all the orders that came in over the weekend....THANK YOU!!!!!...will be shipped in the advertised amount of weeks. (Sorry, not days.)
