OK, what knives did you get for Xmas?

The Rift is a great knife. My absolutely favorite Benchmade knife.
.

Yeah, I'm Really impressed with it. It is a great size and it fits my hand perfectly. I also like the blade shape which seems perfect for any cutting task. So, I totally agree with you. it's definitely one of my favorites from Benchmade.

WoooooWeeeee!

Mom had knifecenter deliver the Case mini-lockback to me. I love it. Its a lot cleaner than it looks in the photo. These were shot with my cell phone so thats why they look kinda crappy.

The ZT200 was a gift from my two step-grandmothers. A little unexpected christmas cash turned into a very nice knife for Brian.

Really like them both. The Case is a nice, classy knife that will be carried on dates and for more nice/casual occasions. The lockup on it is tight and there is no blade play. Fit and finish are clean, as expected from Case. Just not perfect enough to tell it is hand made. /tu>

It is a little small for any sort of heavy/extended use. I tried doing a little whittling with it and it did fair, I prefer a little more substance in my hand. Having a larger handle to is more comfortable and allows for more grips. The blade is ground thin and does cut very well.

In the box came a paper which explained how it was hones at 10-15 degrees and was super sharp. Well.... I guess Case and I have different expectations of what sharp is. It would not shave hair when I got it. A quick touch up on the sandpaper and strop changed all of that.
This is not a "hard-use" knife, nor was it designed to be. It will be carries and used appropriately.

The ZT just bumped the BM755 out of EDC place. Its beefy.....heavy....mean looking.... and I love it. I'm really glad I was able to find a non-assisted ZT, I've been eyeing them for a while but don't really go for assisted openers.... so the model 200 is perfect for me. It had a 4" blade so most people wouldn't want to carry a knife list large every day.... be we here at BF aren't most people!

Came hair popping sharp!

The lockup is super solid. This guy has THICK liners and the liner lock leaves no doubt that it will preform. There is no blade play but if some develops the pivot is adjustable with a regular wrench or pliers. Don't need to go buy a torque set for this one.

When closed the blade is centered perfectly, something that seems to be lacking in many of the other big knife companies. Now, I don't feel the blade has to be perfectly centered, as long as it doesnt' rub the liners I'm happy. But I'm very happy when it is centered properly.

The pocket clip is adjustable for either right or left hand carry. And also allows for tip up or tip down carry. I like having the choice.

The handles are heavily textured but don't seem to be absurd like some of the texturing is and is very comfortable. I don't expect to get and hot spots under heavy use.

Overall..... a very sharp holiday season for Brian. F yeah!

I picked up a few knives, with the emphasis on "I". Those gifts from you to you are usually great!

I got a John W. Smith SD-3 with black micarta handle.

Due to a mixup I ended up with a Dustin Turpin Repentance (how I love mixups!)

Not a knife, but sharp anyway;), I got an Olight M20 R5 Warrior, 320 lumens with a tight beam!

Last, but not least, I picked up a Hammer Brand 4-bladed Canoe, and another Steel Warrior Cigar Whittler.

I'm thinking I did pretty good......

Except for the JWS folder, and the Steel Warrior Cigar Whittler, the photos are stock, bet you can tell the difference!!

spent my Christmas money today and added some more knives!!i got a CRKT M16-01kz,a SOG Trident, another Leek but in all black with plain edge and got my little bro a gerber STL 2.0, now i want a FFG delica in some kinda color like pink or purple haha. sweet knives guy! Santa was good to us!

I didn't ask for any knives this year, but still got one anyways! My Aunt and Uncle gave me a Victorinox Recruit. Which I am glad, cause I can't find my One-Hand Trekker or the toothpick! I think my car swallowed it.

I had a pretty sharp Christmas this year, CRKT Klercker NIRK from the parents; very very cool blade, made from two pieces of steel, my first lockback as well as my first CRKT... I'm impressed!! Slick design, rides very slim in the pocket, very solid blade shape and a comfortable handle. I'll definitely enjoy this one in my edc rotation and putting it through it's paces!!

The girlfriend spoiled me rotten with a Kershaw Speedform!! I was kinda bummed I missed this bad boy on the initial release and she surprised the heck outta me with this thing... I love it!! More dressy than most of my collection (a LOT bigger than I expected but I love the stretched out profile, looks super slick!) not sure I'll carry this one too much, but it certainly won't be a safe queen!!

Lastly my brother hooked me up with some rainy day knife site giftcard action... Not sure how to spend it though, was thinkin of checking the ZT 0200 or 030x off my list.. Hmmm choices choices...

Hope everyone had a great holiday!!

My brother in law got me a Big 5 special: Smith and Wesson HRTFS. I'm not a fan of serrations, so I traded and upgraded to a Kershaw Chill. Kudos to Big 5, they were very good about the exchange.

I was also looking at the CRKT M16. I didn't care for the safety lock to "lock the lock."

By brother in law is a good guy. He's not a knife nut, he's a car nut.

My fiancee gave me a Recruit too which immediately went on the keychain. Had been looking around for one so that was perfect.
