OK, why did the Vintage Busse Combat Knife Straight Handle on the bay sit overnight at that price? I saw it last night and just about pulled the trigger but when I went back to look at it again I couldn't find it and ASSUMED someone beat me to it.. but then I saw it again this morning and pulled the trigger. It's real isn't it?

It's real but I asked the seller if the swedge was sharpened by Busse and he said no it was done by someone on the secondary market. That's why I didn't jump on it. Not sure if that will void the warranty.
 
I'll have to ask who did the swedge, if it was Bill Siegle I should be good.

The reason was .....

it was listed three times all on 1 day durations. First two times it had a much higher buy it now at $580 and each time the bidding only went to $405. Anyway it was listed again it seems for only one day and then it was late too.

Seller would have been better off running it for 7 days. Sunday til Sunday covering two weekends so plenty of folks see it.

I guess they were in a big hurry????

So as long as the swedge was done by someone decent I should be ok? I more want to use it than anything, rather than my minty NMFSH.. (still looking for the perfect setups and I'm more likely to use one with some wear on it than a mint one..)
 
I think it was a heck of a deal. I would have bought at 425. The swedge looks good from the pics. I wouldnt worry too much about it.

Might post a good pic when you get it.
 
Just heard back from the seller and it is one of the ones Bill did. Sweet.

Yeah. That is a nice looking Steel heart. I bid serveral times on it. Bill Siegle did the swedge and looks great. Wish I had the scratch, but alas. The buyer got a pretty good deal with the leather sheath included. One day......lll get my hands on it, only been eyeing it for about 5-6 years
