the 11 got too dull so I switched to one of bill seigles knives. dang that was a nice sharp blade!

It's in my freezer. Gotta look up how to tan it or whatever, never done that before. Never skinned a rabbit before either! I learned lots at the gathering.

I doubt you kept the brains, so you can't really brain tan it, but you can probably vegetable tan or chemical tan it. Chemical tan for a deer hide was about $40, at least that's what my Venturing Crew advisor quoted it as, I doubt it's that much, and for a small rabbid, you can probably get it done for real cheap. I have no idea what-so-ever it might cost... nor the process.

Congrats both of you, TB for getting the knife, and Cap'n for being a real stand-up gal! This is why more than 95% of my posts are in this forum, even if some of them are childish. :p
