OK, you got your ONE KNIFE. Which Other tool should you have whe you bug out?

I live in the Sonoran Desert. It would be the largest container of water I could carry.

Nalgene bottle, a big one. Something I could carry water & purify it in. Large size/wide mouth has a ton of uses.

With a knife, I (hopefully) can make what ever else I need until things settle down.

Medium axe. Leatherman tool. Victorinx SAK. Sliver Gripper. Sharpener. Water. All your bases are covered.

Got a billhook chopper, an axe, small & medium FB (would not bother with a folder), cpl stones to keep everything sharp.
Would add the pot to boil up water. cpl clipper lighters with spare gas and flints, firesteel for when that's over.
Even though I'm an avid barefoot hiker/runner, I would have a decent pair of boots for colder times.
And maybe, just maybe a small radio transmitter with a cpl solar panels...............

I've gotta say a 2ltr pot (or similar size). Ya need something to cook/boil water in. With my knife, i can make most of what i need, but a metal pot is uber-useful and difficult to make....

If you're asking about a "tool" of some sort, then probably my Bob Dustrude Quick-Bucksaw. It cuts large-diameter wood easily and is an immense help with all sorts of wood prep. Otherwise, my Leatherman "Wave". I know it has blades on it, but the pliers are super handy - as are the various screw-driver blades, etc.

I have to ask about the firearms.
I have little experience with them, but the question of "how much ammunition" arises. Guns require milled/manufactured components and chemical reactions to work. Plus the projectile is not re-usable. Strikes me that it would become deadweight very quickly.
Opinions?
