I have been the managing director of Okapi South Africa for two years. I have worked non stop for two years improving the quality. Today I am proud of a vastly improved knife, but still the same traditional materials, I have improved handle quality with a very neat blade slot, improved taper grinding on the blade, overall something to be proud of.

I am now looking for a distributor in the USA for my products. Please can you offer me some ideas. Okapi remains a working carbon steel blade knife. We manufacture 3500 knives a day with the capacity to go to 6000 a day overnight and the machinery to cope with 12 000 a day.

Thank you in advance.
Kevin Chadwick.

Come to the Blade Show in Atlanta, probably a good place to spread the word, and to meet the the US industry. Does your company have a website? Cant find it...

Exactly what I was thinking after I sent my first post. Industry shows, that is how to get any product you produce or sell into the market of those that may be interested in what you produce or sell. A couple a business and marketing classes wouldn't hurt either. Just because a person can make stuff doesn't mean it will sell, they need to know how to run the business, reinvest, and market the product.

Remember, you can't be trying to sell your items here as a registered user, nor can you be blatantly advertising. It's not fair to those that pay for that priviledge. So, you got a good idea of where to get started the information you requested has been provided, so time to close this thread.
