Okapi uses stainless according to their website. Seems like all of their pocket knives are now SS and their other stuff like cane and banana knives are Carbon.

Alrighty. One of the tells that I was able to find is that the fakes don't show a seam in the handle, and this one shows a very distinct one.

continues to manufacture the knives in South Africa."
It appears that up until Lasher took over the (907e's) blades were carbon, 2019 onwards Lasher uses stainless.

I believe Lasher have permanently closed the factory.
