The very LAST time you used your knife.

Could it have been done with a Vic Classic?

Thought so.

We ARE crazy.

:D

Ah-ha, gotcha. :p The very last time I used my knife was just an hour or so ago, splitting up couple of logs of thick, strong, knotted firewood. No, I couldn't have done that with a Vic Classic, at least not without risking breaking the knife, my fingers, and wasting a whole lot of time. ;)

The last thing I did with a knife was cut up a salid, I quess almost any knife could have done it but the Santuko did it faster.

Yeah, but that doesn't count. You FINLAND folks are rugged!!! Over here, we mostly need knives to open bills and jigger parking meters.

Not to mention lazy! I could've just walked outdoors and done the job even faster with an axe, but I couldn't be bothered to put on my boots and brave the couple of minus degrees Celcius. :D

Most of my cutting at home could be done with a Vic classic. But when in the field the Busse MrS has a distinct advantage. The Vic is a great slicer, but it wont hold up to chopping or abuse, and I do enjoy knowing that while I dont need a heavy duty user all the time, its available.

Nope, it was a Vic Ranger on a loaf of bread at Chili's restaurant last night. They brought out a butter knife to cut it with...so I just whipped mine out. Wifey rolled her eyes, but saw the wisdom in my choice. Right tool for the right job!

I just opened about 10 really stubborn Christmas Cards! I could not have done it without my ZDP-189 Endura! LOL

Cut up several cardboard refrigerator boxes for target backers with my BM 610 Rukus.

I doubt the Vic would have been up to that job.

CPM D-2 Military, shredded some paper a few minuets ago.
Yesterday afternoon it sliced tomatoes nicely (especially with the thin convex edge I keep on it).

I used my ritter grip to cut some thick zip ties I could probably have used a vic classic but it would not have been as easy.

At work I cover truck cab parts with really tough shrink wrap. It takes a Strider SnG to cut that stuff. No Vic Classic could put up with the occasional light work or indoor environment.

Cleaning my fingernails I save for more gentlemanly knives like a Buck Mayo TNT.

The Vic Classic I have I fished out of a toilet trap after my boys admitted flushing it in there 6 months previously. Just a little corrosion, enough to dull the finish. Needs a new toothpick.

Six months in a toilet and it dulled the finish. Sheesh. You get what you pay for.

I used my knife this week at work to remove layers of old electrical tape and duct tape, cut plastic tubing, and open a foil pack of coffee. It's been the busiest week for my Hunters Scalpel ever!

Yep, I could have done all of that with a Victorinox Classic. But my knife is just as lightweight, came with a lanyard and locking sheath, has a better gripped handle, and has no moving parts. And best yet, especially this time of year, I don't have to remove my gloves to open or use it.

On the downside, my knife cost twice as much as the Classic and doesn't have a toothpick...

Yes indeed it could have.

But where is the fun in that?

I prefer my SE Dodo and various other cutting implements! :D
