Okay, I know it's a dumb show, but does anyone else like Heroes?

I admit it, I'm a hero junkie in general. I love that comic book junk. I stopped spending $$$$ on comics many years ago because the prices got ridiculous, but I love the comic book movies and shows.
I just wanted to see if there's any other suckers out there who got sucked into this Superhero soap opera.
I like the show, but there are just too damn many coincidences. Everyone is related to, or somehow, just "happens to" bump into everyone else. IMO, it's really a load of ...... bad writing, but what can I do, I'm hooked. Sylar is one heck of a villain, and the atomic man is pretty cool too. I like the use of psychology in the show. I know, I know... it's nothing revolutionary, but it's just like Rock 'n Roll....... It's only superheroes, but I like it. :)
More critiques and talk as this thread progressed. BTW... IMO.... What's up with the whole storyline about Hiro just losing his powers? You don't just lose your powers. IMO, that's the dumbest plot device in this series yet.

Losing his powers is all in his mind. He lacks confidence. Yes, I watch Heroes and I do like it despite the poor writing.

Check out Hellboy and Walking Dead, only comics I read anymore, nothing else holds my interest.

I saw part of the first episode, it had no sway over me. What is the fathers power? The father of the fire chick? They pounded that on the ads so much that I am a little interested.

Compared to most shows i think its one of the most entertaining shows out there at the moment. I wonder if they will do a second season?

I like it, I have missed so many episodes I have stopped watching and am just gonna getit on DVD when it comes out.

I thought they were in the second season?
Didn't the first season end with the cheerleader being saved?
The girl's real father can fly. Here adopted father is actually in charge of some sort of secret (gov't?) organization that monitors "heroes", good and bad, and recruits heroes to help him do his job. One of his men can cause memory loss, and the other, now deceased, had the power of persuasion "The old Jedi mind trick." I loved it when she told the cop that pulled her over (another frickin' coincidence!) that he wanted doughnuts, so he took off to get some doughnuts.

It's still the first season, they took an extended Christmas break.

I really like it, but have to watch it off the net each week. My son has wrestling on Monday nights (even though he broke his collar bone, were's till attending)

There's a ton of coincidences, but maybe it's in a Wheel of Time type thing. The important people are drawn to each other.

I think the show has gotten better since the break. There's more info about each of the characters, and they're starting to interact more.

I don't think it's dumb at all. I think it's a good show. Nothing wrong with being entertained. Not everything has to be about survival and how many knives a person carries.

Love it.

Stan Lee was in last night's episode. My wife as all," Stan who?"

Last night's show was a good one. It will be nice if they can keep things fairly fast paced. IMO, George Takei was a great guest. I hope they have more.

I haven't enough time to follow anything on the tube.

But my spousal unit just loves this show. In her youth, she too was an avid comics collector.

I say...enjoy! Life's short and full of challenges. Take a break when and how you can. Save your 'inner critic' for more serious situations.

I guess this is a good a place as any to make my first post in Gold.Heroes has been on about 7 weeks so far in New Zealand, and so far i am finding it entertaining.I have always been in to the comic book, superhero experience ever since i can remember,so its easy for me to ignore silly plot lines and bad acting as long as it makes me feel like a kid again.Compared to the normal garbage we get on tv here its very refreshing.

my roommate got me hooked on it..great show but its over too damn fast. and i feel like they answer one question per show but leave me hanging with like 5 others after it

It isn't broadcasted over here yet, but watched every episode so far except the last one (thank you high speed internet). I enjoy it a lot. The last couple of episodes were not great, but it's still much better than the "regular" series.

Save the cheerleader, save the world :D ;)

I guess Heroes is OK, but I much prefer that other new show called "Jericho".

I watched a couple of episodes, it moved too slowly and wasn't that interesting.

I am a fan of Heroes. The writing is getting better. Haqving George Takei in one episode and Stan Lee in another was cool. Hiro and Ando are hysterical together. I normally hate sub-titles, but it works here somehow. Gotta love Nikki, too.
