Well, despite my lack of social graces, I was promoted.
My wife was the daughter of an AF COL. who was the air attache in Japan,Turkey and Italy. A bit of a spook to boot.
He killed nine enemey pilots in WW11. He did not quite see it that way.
He ret. as AF Base CMDR, at Keesler.
A ground pounder at least knows his mission.
I have no use for those who won`t cut it.
I believe that with proper guidence, almost everybody can cut it.
I know how to play the game. I just choose not to most of the time.
"Proven initiative under fire" meant something then.
