Okay, let's all be honest here....

Yeah, a glass cutting board is nothing, I put up with that too more than a few times in my past marriages and relationships.

i do the majority of the cooking in my house. for the occasion that somebody else is cooking or helping, i have certain knives for them to use. there are no glass cutting boards in my house, only plastic and rubber. the only knives to touch a ceramic plate are cheaper serrated steak knives.

My kitchen knives are comprised of a nice mix of Wusthof, Henckels and Shun.

I've owned many junk kitchen knives over the years before picking up several Rada knives along with one Cutco. I've become a huge fan of Rada knives in the last two years.

We've been buying US made Rada knives. Aluminum handles, 420 blades, and inexpensive. We have a few Victorinox/Forschner's also. Both brands make for good working knives in our kitchen. I'm not sure my knife collection would be considered exceptional judging by the many beautiful and expensive custom knives I've seen on the forum though.

I'm looking into trying out some ceramic knives for my use only in the kitchen.

They are junk, so I sharpen, they get tossed in the dishwasher, so I sharpen.... at least there's no more glass cutting board.

I have Zwilling J.A. Henckels Twin Pro-S 18 piece set in the kitchen.

Set me back about $550. Not super expensive when it comes to kitchen cutlery, but still good in my opinion. :)
