It takes a little getting used to, but I attached a 25 watt spot adjacent to the top roller on my Bader. Lowes is selling one with a shroud for about $8. I also dulled my scribe to widen the line...that helped a lot.
I try not to drink too much coffee on the days I'm grinding, and keep a rabbit's foot in my pocket.

I need more light than anything since my Lasik surgery..I'm left with mono vision
close with one eye and distance with the other. and it's still changing some.. anyway..
I haven't scribed an edge line In a long time .........
I grind one side (most of the time) to where I want it ( you can use Mic's or
a caliper for that) then grind the other side. I come purty close by eye too.
about .005 on good dayS

Well all I use is safety glasses to grind, I used to wear prescription glasses but in the last several years I have found that I see better without glasses than with. Even passed the drivers license test without them. Gib

Hmmm, looks like you guys can see pretty good, I use a 7x opti-visor and I would go higher except then my nose would hit the grinding belt.
